Greetings Tony,Thanks for the great music.I would like to say that there are a lot of really good guitar pickers out there today. However I believe what separates You from them,is that you are all about the song. And thats what makes your music unique.

When I bought a new Martin and began re-learning to play bluegrass after many years away attending to family and job responsibilities, your CD's were the first I played. Still my favourite picker after all these years.

I think of you often, Tony. Just want to wish you a very Happy Birthday. I can't forget. Heard from Antonius last month via email. He's trying to get in touch. I saw your friend Katherine (guess that's how you spell it) in Greensboro this weekend. She and I were talking about how much we love you AND your music. You are a good soul. Howdy Tony. Just an old fan from the SF Bay Area dropping by to give thanks for being such a great influence. I have such fond memories from the Grisman Days and beyond. Also, Jerry Reed was a huge influence and Loss, but so much more of a gain to have both of you in our ears forever! And I am so touched by your comments to the Vets. We all have so much to be thankful for. And your standing on any stage is one of the greatest gifts and expressions of freedom! Pick On and Live Free!

Tony, Been a fan of yours and The Unit for many years. Saw one of the shows with Alison Krauss celebrating your 35 years in the music business. Is there any chance this program with Alison and Union Station could become a new CD? John

I saw you perform in October of 2008 and you were phenomenal. I became a true lover of bluegrass early last year but hearing the Unit perform made me want to listen to bluegrass 24-7! Thank you for all that you do.

I was real sorry about the concert at the Bluegrass Hotel. I feel sorry for Tony and Sam. Guys, this does not mar your good name, we as fans know your integrity. I was driving to the show from Illinois and my car broke down in Evansville, Ind. I wanted to make it to the show so bad that I started hitch hicking. I HAD NEVER DONE THAT BEFORE. A woman pulled over and asked where I was going and I said Louisville. She said she was going by there. She looked like Dog the Bounty Hunter Chapman's wife and talked like Jerry Reed. She said sit down son and enjoy the ride. When I got to the venue and discovered things were not as they were I was really upset. Tony keep on playing man, you are the greatest. The Colonel

Mr. Rice, Several of the songs that you perform I have listened to since I was a child and tend to like your versions of them better than most. I learned to play guitar from my dad and it is a pleasure to hear you play songs that I have heard him play. Your talent is awesome and has kept me listening over the years. thanks

Tony, Just wanted to say you have been a real inspiration musically to all bluegrass musicians. I adore your work, especially all the classic Album Band music. Traditional bluegrass music at it's absolute best. It has been a long time since you released an album with the BAB but the old albums do not sound like old albums. The music is as good or better than most of todays bluegrass. I look forward to seeing you in the future. God Bless

Hi My name is Brett, I am a big Bluegrass/Country/Folk fan (besides other genres) but these are my favorite, and of course, Bluegrass lead guitar playing. I must say that I just recently enjoyed the 5 The Bluegrass Album CD's and now I am listening to The Church Street Blues LP. Just want to add a request/suggestion that Tony hopefully will com to perform to the Dallas/Irving/Fort Worth area in the near future. I will always be a fan of Tony's and of Bluegrass lead guitar. I also must say that some of my CD's with Tony as guest or solo performer were bought in Singapore (by means of the record stores there) including other Bluegrass bands/artists. All the best to Tony Rice and hope to see him here in the future. hank You.

Tony, Thanks for rendering my FM radio in my car obsolete. Three chords and you're out if you know what I mean. I love your music. I work twelve hour shifts in a steel mill and I plug you into my earpeice and it's good medicine. Thanks for the great music, especially Crossings. Our talents are given to us to present back to Him.
